My ceremonies have a natural, authentic, creative presence and style. I love writing stories that resonate at more than one level, creating a mix of love-filled moments that are easy, meaningful, touching, and fun. Nothing makes me happier than seeing you laugh spontaneously, then dab a happy tear, fully present in why you've chosen to create an occasion and share it with those you love.
I enjoy creating spaces that brim with the best feels, yet at the same time puts everyone at ease to enjoy why they're there. Whether it’s a simple ceremony, intimate elopement, grander scale gathering, or destination event, I'm committed to bringing your vision to life.
Out of Africa, Now Gippsland Local
I was born in Cape Town, South Africa, and life has been as varied as the ceremonies I create. After migrating to Melbourne, then living in Tasmania, I now call the town of Sale my home, and proudly serve the Gippsland region and beyond. My interest in people and their relationships is at the heart of who I am and all I do. I'm invested in building trust, creating connection, and expressing emotion, thanks to skills I developed as a Counsellor and Teacher.
When I was looking for a heart-centred change, becoming a Celebrant was a natural fit. Nothing could have prepared me for the intense joy I feel when marrying two souls in sync; for the tingles I get when they exchange words that strike a chord; and the pride I feel when they’re legally married.
Conducting funerals is a different privilege. I use the insight and empathy I’ve grown during challenging phases of my own life, to bring an authentic presence to grieving families and support them to channel their emotion into a compassionate farewell.
More Than a Celebrant
When I'm not officiating ceremonies, life is a blend of creativity, adventure, dogs, and books! I'm not beyond a squeal if you include your pet in your ceremony and you can be certain I'll give them all the pats and attention they deserve. I'm also a lover of podcasts, nature walks, chats by the fire and water’s edge, G&T or a coffee in hand; and one of my proudest moments is sailing from Queensland to Tasmania with my husband and a friend, crossing a beautifully calm Bass Strait!
